Arsenal fans have been drooling over Mesut Ozil’s goal against Ludogorets in the Champions League three years ago today.
The £22.5m-rated (Transfermarkt) playmaker scored a supreme goal by chipping the ‘keeper, selling a dummy to two defenders before rounding them and slotting into an empty net for the winning goal in a 3-2 victory.
At the end of the 2016/2017 Champions League season, the goal was voted as the goal of the season with more than 50% of the votes by BT Sport fans (via BT Sport).
Then-manager Arsene Wenger said he was worried the Germany international had missed the chance to score the winner, however, lavished him with praise over his show of skill (via The Mirror).
Ozil’s goal left the fans going crazy after his show of composure during the goal as they took to Twitter to react.
