Everyone in the Transfer Tavern has been impressed with N’Golo Kante this season…
The Frenchman has completely revolutionised the Chelsea midfield since moving to the club, with the Blues’ fine turnaround in form coinciding perfectly with the midfielders arrival. Forming a dynamic duo with Nemanja Matic, N’Golo Kante has found the perfect balance of defence and attack, whilst his incredible ability in the middle-of-the-park has also allowed the other players within the Chelsea squad far more freedom.
Indeed, no player has come to the Premier League and made such an impact – and it could have been so different.
It has recently been revealed that Arsenal scouts passed on Kante, with the Frenchman simply not ‘having enough’ to make it at the highest level.
Retrospectively, it turns out they were very wrong, and whilst hindsight is 20/20, the fans on Twitter have been very vocal in their response to the Gunners’ blunder.
