Arsenal fans have been hitting out at Mikel Arteta after Bernd Leno’s comments on the club’s new head coach.
The Germany international revealed that Arteta spoke to the players about their performances in the game against Everton.
He revealed that the 37-year-old told them he was looking to see which players run, support their teammates and ‘defend the goal’ and ‘play as a team’ (via Evening Standard).
Leno was speaking following the game against the Merseysiders and revealed that he’s is optimistic the club will finish in the top four under the former Manchester City assistant.
Arteta’s first game as the club’s head coach will come in their Boxing Day fixture away to Bournemouth this Thursday.
Fans weren’t too happy with the comments from the club’s number one ‘keeper as they took to Twitter to it out at Arteta.
