Arsenal fans were lauding David Luiz after his performance in the 2-1 loss to his former club Chelsea.
The Gunners central defender was at the heart of action yesterday afternoon as he made a mammoth six clearances and blocked two shots over the course of the 90 minutes (via WhoScored).
Following the game against Chelsea, Luiz came out full of praise for head coach Mikel Arteta, who he claimed can go on to be ‘one of the best coaches in the world’ (via The Mirror).
Luiz’s performance saw him earn praise from football.london, who gave him a seven out of 10 rating as they picked out his tidy performance.
The Gunners threw away yet another lead as they extended their shocking run of form to one win in 15 games across all competitions.
