Arsenal: Fans offer mixed reactions after Thierry Henry’s comments on Nicolas Pepe

Arsenal fans are offering mixed reactions after Thierry Henry’s comments on the struggling winger Nicolas Pepe.

While one side of the fanbase agreed with their former legend, the other was less than pleased with his comments as they pointed out the Ivorian’s flaws and price tag.

Pepe has struggled to make his mark at the Emirates Stadium following his £72m move from Lille in the summer, having scored three goals from set-pieces and not a single goal from open play (via Transfermarkt).

That has prompted a defence from the club’s record goalscorer, who has claimed you are always ‘talked about’ when you arrive in the Premier League (via Yahoo Sport).

However, the Ivory Coast international isn’t getting much sympathy from pundit Roy Keane, who slammed the player for his poor body language shown since his arrival (Sky Sports via The Mirror).

Fans couldn’t be separated on their opinions after Henry’s comments on Pepe as they took to Twitter to react.

I see where you’re coming from, but frankly he shows more promise then Pepe at the moment. I’m still giving Pepe some time as Henry even stated it might take him some time. But it has been over 2 months now and he still hasn’t scored from open play.
