The notable Italian journalist confirmed that the France international has received bids from Premier League clubs to leave Atletico Madrid.
Mikel Arteta’s side are said to be one of two clubs in England who are interested in a deal for the winger.
Arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur are also reported to be interested in the 24-year-old, however, Spanish publication AS are reporting that the Gunners are the front runners to sign the ace.
A move for Lemar comes amid reports from Italian publication La Gazzetta Dello Sport (via Forza Roma) over the future of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who the club are said to have rejected a €10m (roughly £8.5m) bid for.
Mkhitaryan seems to be having a much better season than Lemar, having notched up more goals and assists than the Frenchman.
Fans were optimistic about landing a deal for Lemar after Di Marzio’s update on the player’s future as they took to Twitter to react.
Here is a selection of tweets from the north London faithful:
I would take him on loan. Even if he’s as useless as Mkhitaryan, it’s good to have versatility considering the injuries we’re getting.

Would take him. If we are going to sign an attacker at least he’s younger and plays on the left. If we can get him for cheap it could also just be seen as a low risk high reward type of deal

Would be good, he can play on the wings, as a 10 or even as LCM, if we can land him quite cheap lets go.
