Arsenal fans have been displaying their pleasure at the performance from Reiss Nelson in the draw against Bournemouth.
The forward was in good form against the Cherries with his all-round display on the right flank.
As well as completing the joint-second most dribbles (2) and having the third-most shots (3), the England under-21 international made one tackle and one interception as he also tracked back to help his side defend (via WhoScored).
Following his performance, manager Mikel Arteta was seen putting his arm around the 19-year-old as he seemed to be giving him words of encouragement (via @Abhiz30)
Incredible gesture by Arteta to put his arm around Nelson and give him words of encouragement. Stay patient Gooners, good times ahead. pic.twitter.com/zVOCyjZUFw

Nelson is yet to score or assist for the Gunners in the Premier League thus far this campaign, however, his start against the Cherries was the first time he’s started back-to-back games since the league fixture against Burnley earlier this year.
Fans were left appreciating the performance from the youngster as they took to Twitter to react.
Here is a selection of tweets from the north London faithful:
Happy with how we played today just needed to take our chances. In sure Arteta will be working on the soon

I think Arteta sees a bit of Sterling about Nelson

Nothing to be ashamed of on that performance. Bodes well for the future.

Probably one of the few that liked Nelson’s performance. Very intelligent player. Whatever duels he lost was because he is not used to the physicality of the league yet. He’s 19 and obviously grow more. Arteta will develop him nicely.

We drew but I loved so much about todays game. Artetas Energy. The midfield dynamic. Reiss Nelson looked good. We got a way to go but good to see us giving it a go. Need our fullbacks back though. Crossing wasn’t great today and somebody please give Laca a goal!

Reiss Nelson is a promising talent imo but the dude needs to learn how to cross good lord

Reiss Nelson’s first touch is magnificent and he just put in his best delivery of the game to Ozil. Something to build on as a winger/striker as I said yesterday. Ozil off after him and Xhaka, normalized scapegoats have been very good. #BOUARS
