Arsenal fans take to Twitter to react to Under rumours

Arsenal fans have been growing in excitement over the last few weeks as the transfer rumours continue to roll in ahead of the January window in just three weeks time. The Gunners have faith in signing some reinforcement, especially now that they have Unai Emery in charge, and with one source claiming that they had scouts watching Cengiz Under last night, the fans are buzzing.

It’s no secret that Arsenal are looking into signing some kind of winger. At the moment it’s hard to pinpoint one man in the Gunners current squad who fits the mould of an out-and-out winger. The closest that the club has to that would be either Alex Iwobi or Henrikh Mkhitaryan and both are more inside forwards than wingers, so to have the club linked to a proper wing-man like Under is a breath of fresh air.

The young Turkish sensation is being touted with a Roma exit as the Italian side has been unable to come to an agreement with the player over a new contract. However, any potential transfer for him won’t be easy at all. Arsenal will be rivalling a number of clubs for his signature and when a top quality youngster becomes available, it’s never on the cheap, so it will be interesting to see how Emery approaches this one if he does at all.
