Arsenal fans were worried after fullback Nacho Monreal was linked with an exit from the club back to him home country Spain.
According to reports in the Express, Real Sociedad want to push through a deal as soon as possible as they want the 33-year-old to make his debut on Friday evening.
It is thought the Spanish club have offered the Arsenal man a two-year contract with an option to extend it for a further year.
Monreal has started every game this season, including the most recent 3-1 defeat away to Liverpool.
The Spain international has enjoyed a successful time in North London, winning three FA Cups and three community shields.
An exit for Monreal means Sead Kolasinac would be Unai Emery’s only fit option at left-back.
Fans are understandably worried due to the injury situation at the club, and took to Twitter to tweet their reaction.

If he wants to go then fair enough but if we’re doing it for the sake of getting a couple of £m in the bank then it’s ridiculous. Been one of our most consistent players over the last few years and I’d much rather keep him as back up for Tierney over Kolasinac!
