Arsenal fans may now get their wish with Metro journalist Jamie Sanderson reporting that Arsenal have made Fiorentina forward Stevan Jovetic their main transfer priority for the summer.
The Montenegrin forward could be available for around the £15 million mark – far less than the original £25 million price Arsenal were quoted when they enquired in January and Wenger has had his scouts watching the 23-year-old with a view to a possible future transfer.
The French manager is understood to have a £70 million transfer kitty at his disposal for new signings this summer and the highly-rated striker could be the man to fire the Gunners to their first trophy in eight years.
However they could face competition from Manchester City and Juventus who both thought to be considering a move for Jovetic.
