Arsene Wenger simply must loan out these 2 Arsenal players in January

The Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are currently enjoying somewhat of a resurgence under Arsene Wenger…

Some of Arsenal’s brightest players are currently in a rich vein of form, and it has lead to quite the start to the Premier League thus far.

Theo Walcott has been a particular stand out. He was a player that most of the Arsenal fans in the Tavern wanted out over the summer – and now he is arguably the most important player in the Gunners first team.

However, with Arsene Wenger’s first choice team currently performing so well, it has left very little room of opportunity for some of the club’s developing players.

In order to reach the highest level – you must play; and some of these players could be better versed going out on loan and gaining that vital first team experience.

With that said, Wenger simply must loan out these TWO Arsenal players in January….

Chuba Akpom

Chuba Akpom has all the talent in the world, but the fine performances of Alexis Sanchez, and the offensive depth provided by both Giroud and Perez means that he is unlikely to get much of an opportunity to impress this season.

At 21-years-old, Akpom is beginning to reach the stage in his development where his career either stalls or progresses – and by not playing, he is far more likely to stall.

A loan to a lowly Premier League side, or perhaps a move abroad could do wonders for Akpom – and he could come back a much better player.

Four Premier League appearances in three years just is not enough.

Rob Holding

Rob Holding looked impressive following his arrival at Arsenal – but it is clear that he is not ready to marshal the defence of a European powerhouse.

Moving from Bolton in the summer, Holding was only ever going to be a squad player – but he desperately needs game time.

Amongst the likes of Mertesacker, Gabriel, Mustafi and Koscielny – Holding will never get a game; and that could cause his development to halt – all for the sake of a bit of additional squad depth.

We have seen glimpses of what he is capable of; but he needs to play at the highest level regularly to reach the heights he is destined for.
