Carlos Vela looks to be on his way out of the Emirates… one way or another.
The 21-year-old has already been identified as one the players Arsene Wenger may look to offload in January, as the Arsenal boss attempts to free up space in his squad for new recruits, and this has prompted the player’s agent, Eduardo Hernandez, to issue a statement confirming his client’s future will be resolved soon, hopefully before the end of the week.
Hernandez told Spanish website fichajes.com: “He will only leave on loan. I’m going to London this week to sort out his situation; we’ll explore all the options open to him, and when I say all, I mean all.“
This has prompted speculation of a loan deal with Bolton Wanderers, with Trotters manager Owen Coyle openly admitting he would welcome the chance to bring Vela to the Reebok Stadium.
Yet Arsenal are only thought to be interested in a permanent transfer deal, which would seem a clear indication that Vela will be surplus to requirements in any case – even if he did go on loan and show the kind of improvement Jack Wilshire displayed while at Bolton.
This has reportedly given hope to a quartet of Spanish clubs hoping to bring the talented Mexican to La Liga on a permanent deal; Espanyol, Real Zaragoza, Valencia and Villareal are all thought to be considering a move for Vela this month.
However, Vela’s price tag of £7.5m may yet scupper any chance of a move; Espanyol have already declared any such amount to be beyond them, with the others also either unwilling, or unable, to meet the Gunners’ valuation of their starlet.
So, a tricky situation for Vela’s agent.

good article, however Wenger has already outlined that Vela will only be leaving on loan, and that he wants to keep him. He isn’t interested in a permanent move at all.
Pls vela should go weather on loan or whatever. But the boss must buy at least 2players this jan.
