Aston Villa sit 17th in the table, level on points with Southampton, who sit in the relegation zone, so it’s clear to see the club need to make changes to ensure they’re still in the Premier League next season. Fans are demanding signings in January, but they don’t seem too pleased with one youngster they’re being linked with.

The Daily Mail have reported that 18-year-old Jaden Brissett is on the radar of “several” clubs after hitting impressive form for Brentford B. The club aren’t part of any recognised league, but players play friendlies with other sides in the hope of being promoted to the first team. Brissett has scored 12 games and made nine assists in 18 games since the start of this season, and apparently that’s raised eyebrows at Villa Park.
However, many fans aren’t convinced by his pedigree and clearly believe their club should be targeting more established pros that can keep them in the Premier League. When the news of the club’s interest was shared on social media, many fans were quick to express their disappointment that they’re being linked with such a low-profile player.

So Dean Smith has taken a style of play, a Brentford centre back, a former Brentford winger and what was left of the players Brentford had already tried to sign and now he’s looking at Brentford B players. Can someone tell him he can’t live off Brentford scraps forever.
