The Villans travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea on Wednesday night in a clash that will be packed with familiar faces on both sides.
The hosts will be welcoming John Terry back to his old stomping ground, while Tammy Abraham, if fit, will be going up against the side he helped bring into the top-flight last season.
Smith has confirmed a huge boost for the visitors as well, saying: “We have Jota back to full fitness now, so he comes back into the squad and he’s pushing for a starting place on Wednesday night,” per the official club Twitter account.
The 28 year-old has only appeared five times in the Premier League this season, starting three of those, but has still managed to contribute an assist, per Whoscored.
He can certainly be a game-changer for the club by adding creativity to that already offered by the likes of Jack Grealish and John McGinn – he provided 11 assists in the Championship last season, averaging 2.1 key passes per game.
Some fans are buzzing about his return, but others are unsure if he’ll even get a game, as you can see in the Twitter reactions down below…

I’d like to see him in a proper number 10 role with jack to play in and around Wesley
