Many Aston Villa fans have reacted to a transfer report claiming the club have submitted a £16m bid for Bournemouth striker Josh King.
Dean Smith’s side fought off relegation last term with a final day draw against West Ham United and the former Brentford tactician is expected to add some new faces to his side this summer ahead of the new season.
The likes of Wesley, Mbwana Samatta, and Keinan Davis all struggled to find consistent goalscoring form last season and it is expected that Smith will add a new striker in an attempt to improve their threat going forward.
Linked with a move for Callum Wilson, who suffered relegation with Bournemouth last term, the Villans were beaten to the England striker by Newcastle United, who secured a £20m move.
With that rejection, Smith has now turned his attention on to Wilson’s teammate, King, who has now been linked with a £16m move to Villa Park.
During his time in the Premier League, King secured 161 appearances in which he netted 48 goals and gained 15 assists.
Reacting to the transfer report, Villa fans gave their opinion and it seems many are not impressed. They seem to think that King would not be a good addition, perhaps due to his record which shows he averages less than a goal every three games in the top flight…
