West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to comments made by ex-player, Alan Taylor, about Hammers striker, Jordan Hugill. Whilst speaking to the West Ham website, Taylor has backed Hugill to make an impact at West Ham after showing his goalscoring talents at Preston North End.
The West Ham fans propping our bar up are currently suffering a torrid spell in the Premier League, the club looks more and more likely to go down this season after three consecutive defeats by a three-goal margin have left the club hanging just one place and two points above the drop zone. The club’s fans reached their boiling point in their last game against Burnley at the London Stadium as a number of pitch invasions and protests against the club’s owners left a sour taste in the mouths of those with affiliations to West Ham United.
The club has struggled for goals this season leading to Alan Taylor publicly backing Jordan Hugill to succeed at the London Stadium. The 25-year-old was signed from Preston North End and now he’s got Premier League calibre players around him, Taylor has backed him to kick on and make a career for himself in Stratford. West Ham fans will be hoping that if Hugill does get some minutes he can make the most of them as the club’s above and below them will be scrapping for points to try and avoid dropping into the Championship.
Here’s what our local Irons make of Hugill:
When is he even going to play? Baldock all over again.
