The Tottenham Hotspur supporters in the Transfer Tavern are excited by reports which claim they are set to secure the signing of PSG’s Lucas Moura within the next 48 hours.
Tottenham Hotspur were almost dumped out of the FA Cup this weekend by Newport County at the 4th round stage, but Harry Kane once again proved to be The Lilywhites saviour as he netted a late equaliser to send the tie to a replay at Wembley. The performance of Mauricio Pochettino’s side was yet another below-par attacking display from a team who were so devastatingly incisive and clinical last season.
For all of Tottenham’s ability throughout the squad, there is a feeling amongst the supporters at the club that their squad is missing the presence of a quality wide player who has the ability to take players on with pace and trickery and offer a fresh dynamic to the club.
But that apparent gap within the squad looks set to be filled before the end of the transfer window, as Football.London have claimed that Spurs are confident of completing a deal for the Brazilian winger before the mid-season window slams shut this week.
Although there are still some supporters who are refusing to talk about the deal until their is an official announcement, there are plenty who are beginning to express their excitement at the supposedly imminent transfer of a highly-regarded talent in European football.
