Tottenham fans here in the Tavern are still to get over the disappointment of the weekend’s draw with Southampton, as Spurs’ hard work continues to unravel.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have lost the consistency that saw them overcome the challenge of world champions Real Madrid, as a slightly lesser task of Southampton has now become a difficult barrier to overcome. Of course, after displaying some quite torrid home form since making the move to Wembley Stadium, the Lilywhites are joyous at the thought of moving into a brand new stadium similar to their beloved White Hart Lane.
However, in the short stint spent at the home of English football, it’s laid witness to some of Spurs’ most iconic moments in recent history, but fans are quick to blame the surroundings as soon as a bad result hits the surface.
Therefore, with hopes of the new stadium being ready for the start of next season, construction seems to be coming along in North London, as Tottenham’s Twitter account took to posting images of their new-look stadium, as it begins to take shape.
