West Ham United have turned their season around in recent weeks with a string of solid results that have lifted them away from the danger of the relegation zone, much to the delight of their long-suffering supporters.

The Hammers were one of the standout teams of last season, with Slaven Bilic making a quality start to life in the managerial role at the club’s old Upton Park ground.

Several of the club’s supporters who can be often found in the Tavern are not overly keen on the club’s new London Stadium, although they are fond of the team’s resurgence up the Premier League table.

West Ham travel to face Watford this afternoon in another winnable game for the club and their fans are enjoying a couple of pints before getting on the coach to Vicarage Road, with several already looking a little bit worse for wear.

The Argentinean striker was introduced at half time against West Bromwich Albion last weekend and he could have a positive impact from the bench once again this weekend.

The striker is still only 23-years-old and it seems as though the West Ham management team are blending him in slowly to life in the Barclays Premier League.

A couple of the Hammers’s faithful are sat with a pint of the landlord’s real ale this morning and they think Calleri should be starting more, stating that his lively style is a joy to behold in full flight.

The ex-Leeds United man is capable of playing in a number of positions and he could be a useful addition when the game starts to stretch this afternoon against Watford.

The 23-year-old has all the attributes to be a quality player in future years and West Ham will hope that he can realise his potential with the Hammers.

A couple of West Ham fans are having a game of darts here in the Tavern and they agree that Byram can be a big player for the club this weekend, should he make an entrance from the bench.
