Speaking to Talksport, Bob Bradley has outlined his transfer plans for January with our Swansea fans here in the Transfer Tavern hoping it helps them get out of trouble.
The Welsh club are firmly in the Premier League mire this season and lost again last night to West Brom at The Hawthorns.
Their home form, however, has been slightly better in recent weeks and so their fans here by the bar are hoping that that will see them through to safety this season.
Many are thinking that it could be time for extra players to come in in January, though, and so they will be pleased by Bradley’s words.
It’ll be the first transfer window the American has had with the club so he’ll be hoping to start shaping his squad into a manner he wants.
And, speaking to Jim White, he revealed what that may entail. He said:
“I think you can make a case that we can still use help in all parts of the field. Not a huge overhaul, but maybe we could add someone who gives us a little bit more in the defence, a midfielder with a slightly different package than what we have and an attacking player.
“Let’s face it, every team could use an attacking player with some speed who can be a real threat and be a goalscorer and somebody who creates chances for others.”
Essentially, then, Bradley wants a new spine at Swansea and so it remains to be seen if he can get it in.
Our landlord thinks he’ll certainly have his work cut out but reckons if he can do it, things will be looking far better for them for the second half of the season.
