It seemed that misfortune has caught up with struck Carlos Tevez already, as the Argentinean striker sustained a knee injury during the FIFA World Cup qualifier against Brazil. It has been reported that the Tevez would not be able to play the upcoming crucial decider, between Paraguay and Argentina.
Manchester City coach, Mark Hughes, confirmed the report by informing that the left wing former striker for Manchester United would not be able to play in City’s home game against Arsenal, this coming Saturday.
However, he also confirmed that Tevez would be ready and fit to play the derby against Manchester United, his former club, in the consecutive game. Currently, he would be staying with the national squad, as he requires acute treatment during the initial stages of injury.
On the other hand, Robinho, playing against Argentina, also sustained a thigh injury during the game; but the medical team is hopeful that he would be fit to play against the Gunners in the upcoming game.
Manchester City, having made some of the biggest transfers this season may be a little worried with the present condition of two of its key players. With teams like Arsenal and Manchester United, City had been hoping for their left winger, Robinho, and striker, Tevez, to deliver their best.
