Burnley man to Manchester City? Pep Guardiola should seal an unlikely move for this Clarets star

Manchester City have, to put it simply, ran away with the Premier League title this season look set to finish the season in strong fashion after a superb, consistent display of form over the course of the campaign.

Manager Pep Guardiola has managed to get his side playing some stunning football, and our landlord here in the Tavern has been breathtaken by some of the things he has seen this City team produce this season.

The punters over by the pool table are a restless bunch, and in and among the City fans in the group, talk is always ongoing about who the club could potentially look to sign ahead of the summer window and who, if anyone, can have an impact in the squad.

One surprising name who has been mentioned this weekend is Burnley and new England call up James Tarkowski, who has been a revelation this season for the Clarets, impressing under Sean Dyche and stepping up to replace Michael Keane with ease.

Tarkowski has looked and assured Premier League presence, and clearly has the ability to play at the very top level if given the chance.

While City do have the likes of Nicolas Otamendi and John Stones, they have in the past been rumoured with a move for Jonny Evans of West Brom, and Tarkowski falls right into the mould of someone City might look to sign as an Evans alternative.

Plenty of time to develop and a massive future, Tarkowski could well turn out to be a brilliant signing for City if they choose to make a move for the Burnley man.

City fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
