‘Cannot wait’ - Tottenham fans on Twitter excited for club’s summer plans

The Spurs fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to the news that their club will be taking part in the 2018 International Champions Cup in summer before the start of the 2018/19 season. Fans can read more details about Spurs inclusion in the tournament on the Tottenham website as a number of fans are getting their holidays to the US booked in anticipation of watching their team.

The Spurs fans propping our bar up will be looking forward to taking part in the competition again as it presents itself as a good opportunity to gain some momentum ahead of the new season. Mauricio Pochettino’s side took part in the tournament last season, beating PSG before losing to Roma and Manchester City in the States. Our local Lilywhites will no doubt be as excited this year as they were last year, with a number of fans travelling to watch their team and staying up into the early hours of the morning to watch them on TV.

Whilst the news for Spurs 2018/19 preseason is exciting, the club will be focusing on the seven games they have left to play this season. The club has six games in the Premier League left to play as they look to guarantee Champions League football for their first season in their new home next year. The N17 faithful also have a mouth-watering FA Cup semi-final tie against Manchester United to look forward to at the end of the month as they aim to win their first major honour in ten years, since they won the League Cup in 2008.
