Newcastle fans here in the Transfer Tavern are becoming increasingly hopeful to reignite the good old days after reports of a potential buyer and budget filters through.
Newcastle have enjoyed the limelight of an awful lot of attention recently as the sale of this massive English club seems to be on the horizon. Having made an impressive start to the season as they find themselves in the top half of the season, they will be looking to improve from here on in as they aim for a successful season.
One man in particular who shared his thoughts was BBC Pundit Garth Crooks as he let his opinions be felt as he spoke to the BBC recently. Reporting that Benitez is capable of winning the title with Newcastle as he believes that the Spanish mastermind has the pedigree required to make this happen if he is provided with the correct resources.
With the recent news of a possible £500m budget being given to the club by Amanda Staveley over the next 2 seasons which would set up the foundations for Benitez to go out and buy who he wants to aim towards the ambitious targets set.
However many have taken a humored approach to the claims as this looks to be rather ambitious for a club who have only just returned to the Premier League. With competitors such as Manchester City and Manchester United, it looks as if Garth Crooks could be in cuckoo land as they don’t look like budging.
