Chelsea are expected to oversee another major squad reshuffle this summer following a disappointing 2025/26 campaign.
Geovany Quenda has already arrived at Stamford Bridge after his pre-agreed move from Sporting CP, while Marc Cucurella has completed a surprise switch to Real Madrid.
Enzo Fernandez is also being linked with a departure, and several other players face uncertain futures.
Liam Delap could leave after a difficult first season in West London, while goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen is also expected to move on as Chelsea search for a new option between the posts.
Now, another Blues player has emerged as a target for an ambitious Serie A side.
Chalobah Wanted by Fabregas
According to Fabrizio Romano, Como are interested in signing Trevoh Chalobah this summer, with head coach Cesc Fabregas keen to strengthen his defensive options ahead of next season.
The 26-year-old centre-back, described as “fantastic” by former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel, is currently away with England at the World Cup after receiving a late call-up to the squad.
Chalobah has long been regarded as a valuable member of Chelsea’s squad, but his future at Stamford Bridge remains uncertain amid another summer of significant change.
Romano wrote on X: “Como are interested in Chelsea CB Trevoh Chalobah but there’s big gap in valuation at this stage.”
He added: “Difficult deal as #CFC value Chalobah highly and Como are being careful with their budget.”
That difference in valuation currently represents the biggest obstacle to any agreement. Chelsea are under no pressure to sell their academy graduate and are believed to rate him highly, while Como are determined not to overspend despite their growing ambitions under Fabregas.
For now, talks remain at an early stage. However, with Fabregas pushing to add proven Premier League quality to his squad, Chalobah is certainly a name worth watching as the transfer window progresses.
Whether Como can bridge the financial gap remains to be seen, but Chelsea may yet face a decision on the future of one of their longest-serving players before the summer is over.
