Aston Villa took to Twitter yesterday to share the news that 20-year-old striker, Keinan Davis had returned to first-team training. The fans were delighted to see the youngster back in training but will be even more delighted if Steven Bruce gets the sack so Davis can actually get some minutes.

Davis joined Aston Villa’s U18 side from Biggleswade Town back in December 2015 and since then he’s been working his way up through to The Villain’s senior team. In summer 2017 he was promoted to the senior side and he’s been there for over a season now. However, he has struggled for minutes under Steven Bruce and only managed 90 minutes five times last season, despite featuring in 30 games across the domestic cups and the Championship.
The fans have been ramping up the pressure on Steven Bruce to leave and if he continues to leave out Davis then the fans will be desperate for him to go. Over the summer the club was heavily linked with appointing Thierry Henry as their new manager but eventually, that fell through and Bruce remained. Most fans would love the idea of Keinan Davis working with Henry in training and would much prefer to see that than what they’re currently stuck with as Bruce fails to impress the supporters.

He can come off the bench with JK and Scott when we are 1-0 down so we can play 4-1-5

The fans would love to see Davis play on Friday when Villa travel to Bristol City, but it seems unlikely as they continue to call for Bruce to be sacked.
