According to A BOLA, Benfica have raised their valuation of Andreas Schjelderup to €50 million (£43m) following his standout World Cup displays.
The 22-year-old, who has been linked with Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, enjoyed an excellent tournament, registering one goal and three assists, including two assists against Brazil before scoring in Norway’s quarter-final defeat to England.
Schjelderup is understood to be weighing up his future despite Benfica offering him a new contract, with a move to the Premier League believed to appeal to the Norwegian international.
While his release clause stands at €100m, Benfica are now determined not to accept anything below €50m after his value soared over the course of the World Cup.
Chelsea remain among the clubs monitoring the winger, but any deal is now likely to require a significant financial commitment.
