Chelsea’s close relationship with RC Strasbourg has become one of the defining features of the BlueCo era.
Since both clubs came under the same ownership group in 2023, there has been a steady flow of players and staff between Stamford Bridge and the Ligue 1 side.
Andrey Santos, Mamadou Sarr and Emanuel Emegha have all made the switch, while Liam Rosenior also left Strasbourg to become Chelsea head coach before his brief spell in charge came to an end.
Now, it appears the Blues have identified another exciting talent from their sister club.
Chelsea Interested in Martial Godo
According to Africafoot, Chelsea have expressed an interest in signing RC Strasbourg winger Martial Godo, who was once described as “talented” by former Wigan Athletic manager Shaun Maloney.
The 23-year-old enjoyed a superb campaign in France, registering 16 goals and five assists to establish himself as one of Strasbourg’s standout performers and attract attention from several Premier League clubs.
Chelsea are monitoring the Ivory Coast international closely, seeing him as a potential replacement for the outbound Alejandro Garnacho. although they are not alone in the race. Fulham are reportedly eager to bring the London-born winger back to Craven Cottage after his previous spell with the club, while Coventry City are also keeping tabs on his situation.
Godo remains under contract with Strasbourg until 2030, meaning any interested club will likely have to pay a significant fee to prise him away. Valued at around €22 million (£19m), the winger is expected to be one of the French club’s most sought-after assets this summer.
