Acheampong Being Monitored by European Clubs
According to AS, several clubs from across Europe are keeping a close watch on Josh Acheampong’s situation at Chelsea.
The 20-year-old has yet to establish himself as a guaranteed starter at Stamford Bridge, but his development remains a priority for the club. Former Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca previously described Acheampong as “fantastic”, highlighting the potential that has long been associated with the defender.
There is reportedly growing concern at Chelsea that Acheampong could consider his options if regular first-team opportunities do not materialise. Alonso is understood to have given the youngster assurances over his role this season, with the centre-back forming part of the manager’s plans for the 2026-27 campaign.
