Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are excitingly discussing their summer overhaul at the end of the season and there’s a new name on their lips.
Corriere Dello Sport says Chelsea boss Roman Abramovich is readying a move to snatch Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan, as part of their summer raid on the Serie A.
A host of talent from Italian football has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge this summer, in the wake of reports suggesting Antonio Conte will be the next managerial appointment in west London, and Perisic is the latest name on a long list of targets.
With major changes required, Abramovich seems ready to take affairs into his own hands and launch a bid worth £15.7m for the 27-year-old Serbian.
Perisic only joined the Italian outfit last summer, arriving from Wolfsburg, but if Inter fail to qualify for the Champions League he could be persuaded with another move- especially as Chelsea can offer him much better wages.
