Chelsea Set To Edge Arsenal & City In The Scramble For Real’s José Angel Pozo

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea are leading the race to sign Real Madrid’s young teenage sensation José Angel Pozo. Chelsea have reportedly moved ahead of Arsenal and Manchester City in the battle to land the 15 year-old striker.

Pozo will not be eligible to sign a professional contract until he turns 18, which means that he will be free to sign a contract with whichever team he wants as soon as he turns 18, which isn’t until March 2014.

If he chooses to leave Real Madrid, the Spanish giants are guaranteed a fee of £500,000. Real Madrid signed the teenager at the age of just 12 and he is currently playing for Cadete A, which is the under-15 team at Real Madrid.

Real will not let the talented youngster go without a fight and are bound to offer him whatever it takes to keep at the Bernabeu for the long-term. If Pozo decides to leave Spain for England, he will follow in the footsteps of Cesc Fabregas and Gerard Pique in signing his first professional contract with an English club.
