The Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are unsure what the future holds…
There is a tangible excitement amongst the Chelsea fans in the Tavern after an impressive few weeks, with Antonio Conte’s men looking deadlier than ever.
However, one aspect of Conte’s regime is still concerning them; and that is the future of Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas.
Fabregas has fallen out of favour under Conte, and that has left many in the Tavern questioning whether he could look to leave the club in the new year.
Their concerns have been eased somewhat today, though, with the midfielder reportedly keen to remain at the club and fight for his place.
According to ESPN, Fabregas has snubbed the idea of a move to China and sources have told the club that he has no interest in leaving the club. Instead, he is reportedly keen to stay and regain his place in the Chelsea first team.
Interestingly, they also add that the Spaniard is not keen on a move to West Ham, who have reportedly been keen on him as of late.
This is a surprising turn of events for the Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern, with many of them expecting the Spaniard to depart the club this year.
Our landlord thinks that Fabregas can certainly get back in the – but he needs to prove his worth to Conte.
Fabregas has made just 1 Premier League start this season.
