Juan Foyth has no future at Tottenham Hotspur, according to the player’s agent, in an exclusive with talkSPORT.
Foyth has started just one Premier League game under Jose Mourinho this season and he was hauled off at half-time in the 2-2 draw with Norwich City after making a major mistake (as per BBC).
After arriving in north London from Club Estudiantes de La Plata in the summer of 2017, the 22-year-old was once touted as a prodigy under Mauricio Pochettino but he has struggled for game time ever since the Argentine’s infamous departure.
When asked if the youngster has a future at Spurs, his agent Claudio Curti answered: “For what has happened in recent times, we don’t think so”. Howerver, he added that “we still have a pending talk with Tottenham to clarify the future.”
Overall the defender has made 32 appearances for the Lilywhites in all competitions but it seems his time at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is coming to an end. He has been linked with a surprise move to Quique Setien’s Barcelona.
Understandably, his representative’s comments has split the Spurs faithful, with one fan tweeting “get him out” and another believing that Foyth is “not good enough”. On the other hand, others argued that he will be a “good player” in the future.
