The Villa fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to the latest news coming out of their club, that the Bodymoor Heath Training Facility has had the naming rights sold by the club and will now be called the Recon Training Complex. Bodymoor Heath has been the club’s training centre since the 19070’s and underwent a multi-million-pound refurbishment ten years ago. Aston Villa has been well in the mix for a promotion place this season and currently sit 4th in the Championship. The club will have to brave the playoffs if they want to make a swift return to the Premier League after suffering the drop in 2016 after a shocking campaign under Tim Sherwood and Remi Garde. The club have had a serious revamp since suffering the drop and a number of “the bomb squad”, as they’re known by The Villains, have left Villa Park.
The Villa fans have just four league games remaining, plus a possible three more games if they are to be promoted via the playoffs. The club will need to treat their remaining fixtures like cup finals as they count down towards the end of the season. The Villa Park faithful don’t want to be suffering another season in England’s second-tier and believe they belong in the Premier League considering they had been ever-presents in the Premier League until their relegation ended that in 2016.

A clever way of getting money into the club, similar to how Man City get away with it with their stadium name. Not really fussed what the 'official' name of the training ground is. As long as he sticks to his promise of never renaming Villa Park then happy days
