Confirmed: West Ham announce three-year midfielder deal

It’s been a thoroughly depressing time for the West Ham United fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern, having watched their side all but crumble since moving to the London Stadium.

Rarely have our east London locals been as downtrodden as they have been following THAT dramatic 3-2 loss to bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur on the weekend, though reports from within the club have at least given the unhappy Hammers a reason to smile.

Following news yesterday that Reece Oxford was to pen a new deal with the Irons, the club have now confirmed on their official website they’ve reached a fresh agreement with another talented teen, in the shape of Domingos Quina.

The Portuguese only arrived at the club in the summer, joining from Chelsea, and has clearly impressed enough within the youth systems to earn a quick-fire new deal upon turning 17 last Friday.

He hit headlines following a stunning 40-yard goal against Leicester City for West Ham U23s earlier this season and has penned a three-year professional deal as a result of his performances.

“I am very happy to have signed my first professional contract with West Ham and it has always been my dream”, said Quina.

“I chose West Ham because it is a great Club and they like to give young players opportunities to break into the first-team like Reece Oxford and I hope to do the same.

“I like to enjoy my football and do things which people are not expecting. I really enjoyed my goal against Leicester and it was a great moment.”
