Talks have re-opened between Barcelona and Arsenal for the possible transfer of Cesc Fabregas.
The midfield playmaker is the heartbeat of the gunners but Barca want him to join up with his spanish counterparts Xavi, Iniesta, Puyol and co.
Rumours suggest that another Spaniard will go in the opposite direction in the shape of Sergio Busquets. Arsenal have been keeping tabs on him for a while and a possible swap deal may be the answer to finalising a deal for the Catalans number one transfer target.
Busquets, 22, was a big player for Barcelona in the season 2008/09 season when they won the treble and he also played every game except 30 minutes of Spain’s world cup triumph in 2010. He plays his defensive midfield role as good as anybody in the world. He’s disciplined in sitting behind the more creative players and he wins tackles and feeds the ball to the likes of Iniesta and Xavi to make things happen.
Arsenal would benefit from Busquets of course but they will definitely miss their most influential player in Cesc Fabregas. It’s obvious who they would rather have but will he want to stay on? Or most importantly does he want to join his fellow Spaniards where he has more of a chance winning trophies season-after season?

We would benefit more than Cesc in this move. Cesc has not been the same player this saeson and I would prefer Busquets any day. nasri, Arsharvin & wilshire would plug that gap immediately. So, perhaps yet again, Arsene will make a huge profit and still have a great team?
i’ve seen busquets and i can confess he is a good player, though fab is the best, they should swap since fab is unsettled and his heart not with us.
Arsene should let Fab go. He has become injury prone…to big mouth with referees…cannot take penalties or quality free kicks…and is a bad omen to the team if he does not play to his potential. The team has shown that they can perform without him. Busquets will be 100% better for our current team…can’t wait for Vermalen to come back…to stabilize the back 4 and to be made captain
Where do you suck your information from? Once again an article with not a shred of supporting evidence. Rubbish. But they are welcome to Fabregas for £50m+
Gary, get with the program mate, we don’t make stuff up.
Of course you do, but hey its good for a laugh.
why are you talking about this now? we not going to sell him no are we and there is not point anyway he wont be-able to play in the champions league. And his heart is in arsenal, i know he loves the club and when he isn’t injured he’ll be back to playing his best

Fabregas should be allowed to rest for the time being cos he is injured. I believe when he is back, he will play much better. For now we should stop this rumour cos Cesc heart is still in Arsenal. UP GUNNERS.
What the joke,If i were Arsene Wenger i will sent off this rumour!i think Fabregas is second player in the world after Messi. Busquest is nothing
“Busquest is nothing”……..THINK AGAIN!
This reminds of what fergie said about wenger….wenger really knows when to sell a player and how to sell a player and who to sell player and for how much to sell a player….
No sale in the January window please, but the deal seems quite attractive. Fabregas is going to leave anyway and selling him for 30 million plus Biscuits is an immensely attractive and mouth watering prospect. We’ve got millions of mini-fabregas’s in our team (Nasri,Arshavin,Wilshere,Ramsey etc) but the ones we have in Biscuit’s position are worse than school kids (especially Dodgy Denilson). I advise: sell Denilson to Dagenham and Redbgidge or something (as they’re the only ones that’ll take him), sell fab for 30 mil and get in biscuits for free. What a bargain and an immense addition of steel and solidity in our team. Any Barcelona regular will fit in easily in our side and we are actually in desperate need of a player of Busquets quality in his position. What’s more is that he’s very young and so will be around for very long. Do the deal and here come the trophies.
