Our Spurs fans here in the Transfer Tavern are beginning to worry more and more about the future of Dele Alli at the club.

The young midfielder has really stepped up a notch this season and does look the real deal in terms of top class players.

Many wondered how his second season in the Premier League would match up to his first and, all credit to him, it’s gone well past any expectations.

That, though, means he’s bound to attract interest and our landlord has noted The Times‘ report that Bayern Munich are keen on bringing him in.

Such a move would likely propel Alli right to the forefront of the game and our landlord thinks that he should seriously consider making the move to the Bundesliga.

That in mind, then, here are three reasons why Dele Alli should demand a move away…

 He’ll maximise his potential

Bayern Munich have some of the best players in world football.

The likes of Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Muller and Manuel Neuer are at the forefront of their profession and that’s bound to make any player improve – let alone one as good as Alli. If the young Englishman could strike up a great partnership with some of these players then he’d surely become world class.

 Almost guaranteed trophies

The problem with Tottenham is that they are never going to be able to guarantee trophies.

Indeed, no side can really do that but certainly Bayern are one of those that come close to that. The German giants regularly with the league and cup in their country whilst they’re always contenders for the Champions League, too – something Alli really should think about.

 Regular football at the highest level

This season has shown that Spurs have work to do before they can fully establish themselves amongst Europe’s elite.

They were knocked out of the Champions League this season at the group stage and could be missing out on it next season with how competitive the Premier League currently is. Bayern, meanwhile, will always be in the competition for now and so Alli would be playing at the highest level no matter what.
