Considering how Tottenham have gotten on in recent transfer windows, it’s a little bit surprising to see they’re all delighted that Adrien Rabiot has turned down a move to the club. According to Le10sport, Tottenham were leading the race to sign Rabiot when his contract expires in summer, but the 23-year-old has snubbed the Lilywhites.

Rabiot was once looked at as one of the best young midfielders in in the world. However, it looks like his time at PSG in the last few years has hindered more than it’s helped him and after he missed out on a spot in France’s World Cup winning squad over the summer it’s become apparent that he needs to leave to fulfill his lofty potential, and it looked like Tottenham could be a perfect fit.
Mauricio Pochettino’s track record with young players is sublime. The likes of Harry Winks, Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Eric Dier have all reached new levels under the Argentine, so it seems strange that someone with who has all the potential in the world has turned down the chance to work with Poch. It won’t bother the fans at all, though, and they’ll now be looking to put these rumours to bed and start looking for a new midfielder who is keen to join the club’s on-going project.

It’s fine. He’s talented but lazy. Can’t see how that would fit w/Poch.

Tottenham fans are pleased to see Rabiot snub them, and will be glad to offer a chance to someone else ahead of the 23-year-old Frenchman.
