As per usual, Everton are knocking on the door of the Europa League places and their fans here in the Tavern are quietly confident Ronald Koeman can secure European football come the end of the season!
The Toffees have some big games on the horizon and with very winnable ties against Sunderland, West Brom and Hull City coming up over the next month, there’s every chance they can get up into the top-six.
But it’s not going to be easy. We’ve seen some monumental downturns in form this season and if Everton are to really keep pace with the rest of the teams around them, they need to ensure they continue picking up three points along the way.
And with the Toffees ticking along nicely this campaign and their fans here seemingly content with how things are going, we want to open the vault and show you some facts about the club.
So with that in mind, here’s 2 things you probably never knew about Everton…
60 Years and Counting

Everton are always a team that seem to be flirting with the top-six these days but you might not know that the Toffees have been in the top division since 1954. What’s more, they were even one of the founding members of the “new” Premier League in 1992!
They’ve never won the new format of the division though, something their supporters in here want to change as soon as possible!
Lots of teams regularly talk about their history, but the Toffees have more history than most!
Top Flight Titles

Everton might not be up there when it comes to England’s biggest trophy collectors but they’re the fourth most successful team when it comes to top-flight titles in the country.
They’ve won nine in their history and their last Championship success came during the 1986/87 season. Are they due another soon?
The Toffees in the Transfer Tavern are desperately hoping that Ronald Koeman could be the man to finally secure them an elusive piece of silverware.
