There was a real surprise at the Olympic Stadium in-store yesterday as West Ham United ran out 1-0 winners over Tottenham Hotspur…
The Spurs fans here in the Tavern were absolutely crushed as their title hopes were effectively ended by the Hammers, with just nine points now available and nine needed to catch leaders Chelsea.
Of course, the result doesn’t put a huge downer on what has been an otherwise successful season for the Whites, with the side having taken 27 out of a possible 30 points in their last ten league games- impressive stuff indeed.
And our Spurs-mad barman is optimistic about things going forward too and he’d like to say the squad move on quickly from this recent blow, as he thought the title was out of reach this season anyway.
