Hull City fans in the Transfer Tavern have raised a glass in celebration, after finally landing some positive news.
Greek outfit Olympiacos have confirmed that Hull City have landed the services of Omar Elabdellaoui on a season-long loan until the end of the season, with the Norwegian international adding depth to the struggling side.
Capable of featuring at right-back or midfield, the 25-year-old has spent the past two years in Greece after a spell with Eintracht Braunschweig and returns to the Premier League after four years, when he left Manchester City.
While with the Citizens, Elabdellaoui failed to make a single Premier League appearance for the side and spent time out on-loan with Stromsgodset, Feyenoord and Braunschweig, before permanently moving to the German side in 2013.
Making 23 appearances for Norway’s national team, our landlord believes that Elabdellaoui can provide a boost to the squad but is holding out until he sees him in action.
Is Olabdellaoui enough to save Hull from the drop? Let us know in the comments below!
