The Gunners have made a terrible start to the season, and with the prospect of losing so many players upon their respective contract end dates still on the horizon at the end of the season, there is very little to be happy about in the context of this season.
The topic of Alexis Sanchez is a frequent discussion point in the Transfer Tavern, with Arsenal fans – for once – in agreement: they want him to stay at the Emirates.
Though they’re frustrated at his contract saga, most can understand his point of view, and it’s obvious that Arsenal are a far better side when he is involved.
It’s no surprise, then, that a recent Instagram post by the Chilean has led to a lot of discussion in the Transfer Tavern. In a message to the Arsenal fans, Sanchez wrote the words ‘Back home’ alongside a picture of him wearing his number 7 shirt.
Most supporters had begun to give up hope of any chance that the Chilean would be keen to return to Arsenal after a failed deadline day move, but in typical Sanchez style, he appears ready to give 100% once again.
Whilst this is not quite confirmation that he wants to stay at the club, the post certainly does seem to suggest that he is ready and looking forward to returning to the Emirates – and the Arsenal fans on Reddit have gone crazy as a result.
