The West Ham United supporting punters have not been the happiest group of people here in the Transfer Tavern during the current campaign, with the Hammers struggling to scale the same heights that they did during the last campaign.
The club’s move to the London Stadium has turned into a complete disaster and Croatian boss Slaven Bilic has a fight on his hands to remain as the club’s manager beyond the end of the current season.
The Hammers are currently 13th in the Barclays Premier League and after a top half finish last season their supporters who can regularly be found here in the Tavern were a little more hopeful going into this season.
There remains very little to play for for the Hammers over the remainder of the last five games, other than enhancing Bilic’s chances of keeping his job by finishing the season with a flourish.
Our landlord looks at two players who could be in line for the axe today.
Andy Carroll

The English talisman has struggled in recent weeks and it could be time for him to drop to the bench to allow a fellow striker to stake a claim for a place in the West Ham side.
One West Ham fan is polishing off a pint here in the Tavern and he believes that Carroll has been starved of service in recent weeks, stating that he could perhaps do with a rest to allow someone else the chance to shine in attack.
Robert Snodgrass

The Scotland international was hooked nine minutes from time last weekend and as of yet he has failed to really hold down a place in Bilic’s plans following a January switch from Hull City.
One West Ham fan is sat with his pals here in the Tavern enjoying a pint or two and he thinks that Snodgrass is a great signing for the club, although he feels it might be next season when the club sees the very best of the winger.
West Ham fans, will these two be axed from proceedings today? Who else should be considered for the drop? Let us know in the comments below!!!
