Drop them: Bilic must axe these 2 players from today’s starting West Ham XI against Sunderland

The West Ham United fans here in the Transfer Tavern have been extremely disappointed with their current campaign, with many predicting that current boss Slaven Bilic may well leave before the season comes to a close.

The Hammers were one of the surprise packages of the 2015/16 campaign yet they have failed to scale such heights during the current campaign – their maiden season in their new home on the site of the Olympic Stadium.

Last season saw the club rejuvenated with the arrival of the Croatian boss who is a former Hammers central defender and they were expected to challenge for European qualification again this campaign.

Today Bilic’s boys face a doomed looking Sunderland outfit and they will hope to get a vital three points on the board against a signed seemingly resigned to life in the Championship next season.

Our landlord looks at two players who should be dropped from the team that faces Sunderland today.

Andre Ayew

The striker was hooked during the game against his former side Swansea City and he could be dropped down to the bench for today’s game against Sunderland.

A couple of Hammers fans are sat in the Tavern enjoying a few pints and some food ahead of today’s game and they agree that given Ayew’s injury issues of old, he could be handed a place on the bench for today’s match.

Michail Antonio

The ex-Nottingham Forest forward came off before half-time last weekend and whether he regains fitness in time or not, he could still not be risked by Hammers’ boss Bilic.

Our landlord is chatting to an elderly West Ham fan about the England international and they are both in agreement that Antonio is the club’s best player right now and if he isn’t fit then he shouldn’t play this weekend.

West Ham supporters, do you agree with our landlord that these two players might be dropped this weekend? Let us know in the comments below!!!
