Drop them: Clement must axe these 2 players from today’s starting Swansea XI against Stoke

Swansea manager Paul Clement is hoping to get his players back on track this weekend as they take on Mark Hughes and Stoke City in a crucial Premier League game.

The Swans fans here in the Tavern have been left reeling this week following a 1-0 loss away to Watford last weekend, a result which has seriously setback their survival aspirations.

Our landlord has been mulling about with some of the Swansea fans over by the pool table this week, and there’s been a lot of chat about how Clement might have to change the team around to get some positive results.

Something is bound to need changing following yet another loss last time out, and Clement might well opt to freshen up his first XI.

So, with this in mind, here are TWO players Paul Clement could axe from his starting XI today…

Luciano Narsingh

The pacey winger has not really done much this season for the Swans, and was withdrawn last time out before the hour mark by Clement.

This week could see him return to the bench from the beginning, with Jordan Ayew likely to be pushing for a start ahead of him.

Fernando Llorente

Despite public backing from Clement, the fact remains that Swansea need to score some goals if they are to stay up, and that is something they are not doing at the moment.

With Baston and Ayew lying in wait on the bench, Clement could well turn to these two and move Llorente out of the starting XI.
