The Manchester City fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern are hopeful that manager Pep Guardiola can wrap up the FA Cup this season to ensure that his maiden campaign in English football isn’t a complete disaster.
The Citizens are a long way behind leaders Chelsea and having been expected to compete the for title, it is safe to say that the City supporting regulars here in the Tavern are not exactly buzzing about their team’s domestic form this season.
A couple of City supporters have gathered here in the Tavern to enjoy a few pre-match pints ahead of this afternoon’s FA Cup semi-final against Arsenal, with the pair hopeful of their team progressing to the final next month.
Our landlord is baffled by City’s inconsistency during this season and he is weighing-up which group of players will start against the Gunners this afternoon during their last four tie.
Here he looks at two players who should axed from the City boss’ starting line-up.
Jesus Navas

The little Spaniard has been playing in an unfamiliar right-back slot of late and it would represent a rather large risk to keep him there against Arsenal, who do have an abundance of pace out wide.
Although Navas is quick himself he certainly isn’t a defender which could result in lots of niggling free-kicks being given in dangerous looking areas.
One City fan is sat enjoying a nice cold pint here in the Tavern and he agrees that although Navas is handy enough, he should definitely be replaced by the more natural Pablo Zabaleta for the semi-final.
Vincent Kompany

The Belgian scored his first goal since returning to the first-team in last weekend’s win at Southampton but is he really fit enough to go up against Alexis Sanchez and Co?
It remains to be seen just how fit he currently is and it could represent something of a gamble to play him if he isn’t 110% fit.
According to one City fan, Kompany is likely to get the nod to play, although he feels that he perhaps should be left out and used if the Citizens lead going into the last ten minutes.
City fans, will you beat Arsenal this weekend? Who else could potentially be dropped for the game? Let us know in the comments below!!!
