Argentinean boss Mauricio Pochettino is fast becoming one of the finest managers in European football and the Spurs supporters here in the Tavern are relishing what their club might achieve in future years under his guidance.

Our landlord has overheard a couple of Spurs supporting drinkers discussing team selection ahead of today’s FA Cup game and he decided to look at two players who should face the chop ahead of the huge game with Chelsea.

Deputy full-back Kieran Trippier has played 90 minutes in each of Spurs’ four FA Cup games prior to the semi-final and that could be enough to earn him the chance to start against Chelsea.
