Tottenham fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are currently watching Mark Noble’s penalty miss on loop whilst laughing hysterically.

They certainly enjoyed Saturday’s victory over their rivals but not everybody involved in the club is happy.

That’s because it seems Mauricio Pochettino is set to tell one player that he is no longer needed at the club.

According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham are willing to let left back Benoit Assou Ekotto leave the club on a free transfer.

The crazy-haired Cameroon international has fallen down the pecking order at White Hart Lane following the arrival of Ben Davies from Swansea.

He spent last season on-loan with Queens Park Rangers and helped the Hoops return to the Premier League at the first time of asking when they beat Derby in the play-off final.

But it now seems that a move away from the North London club is definitely on the cards with Daniel Levy set to allow him to leave on a free despite the fact he still has a year on his contract.
