Sergio Aguero has made a spectacular start to the 2016/17 season, and has proven himself to be Manchester City’s most deadly poacher.
Having already picked up 7 league goals, there is no doubting that Aguero is one of Europe’s finest – and that level of success often generates interest; and it would appear that Aguero is a man-in-demand.
According to the Mirror, Real Madrid are lining up a move for the Argentine forward, despite their current transfer ban.
They add that Aguero has been placed on a shortlist of potential striking targets, ahead of a potential move next summer.
The Man City fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are just glad that their transfer ban means that Madrid can’t make a move imminently; as Guardiola and Aguero have, seemingly, not been on the best of terms as of late.
The Man City boss dropped Aguero for the club’s first clash against Barcelona, and that led to speculation in the Tavern surrounding a potential falling out between the pair. He has since been restored to the first team, but the whispers in the Tavern have continued.
Our landlord thinks that Man City would be wise to hold on to Aguero, and he has touted Guardiola’s dropping of the Argentine as a method of man management.
Aguero will be key for City’s title challenge this season.
