Former Everton star Tim Cahill has posted a photo of him in action for the Blues, sporting the 2009/10 away kit.
The ex-midfielder’s love for the Merseyside outfit is blatant. Cahill spent eight years of his career with Everton before moving overseas to join the New York Red Bulls.

During his time in blue, the 40-year-old amassed 276 appearances for Everton and scored 68 goals, assisting a further 29. Cahill also became a centurion for his country on the international stage, earning 108 caps for Australia and scoring 50 goals in that time (via Transfermarkt).

The Aussie remains a fan favourite amongst the Evertonians, who have flocked to his recent tweet to reminisce over when he was still in action for them. One supporter has commented how much the club misses him, whilst going to say Cahill was the ‘Most influential and passionate player to spearhead the Moyes era’. They may have a point given the amount of appearances he made and the goals he scored.
